Ricardo is a psychologist from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, running an independent practice grounded mainly in humanistic and transpersonal approaches.
He accompanies individuals, couples and families with a close, confidential and judgment-free perspective, creating spaces where people can express what they're going through, understand their needs, organize their thoughts and make more conscious decisions.
His way of working doesn't start from imposing answers or telling someone how to live. He seeks to help each person understand their own experience better, recognize their own resources and build healthier ways of relating to themselves and to those around them.
International journey
A perspective built between Colombia, Canada and Spain
His professional and personal path has unfolded between Colombia, Canada and Spain, an experience that has especially enriched his understanding of migration processes, cultural adaptation, family changes and the communication difficulties that can arise when different histories, cultures and worldviews coexist within the same family.
In Canada he completed a specialization in Immigration Consulting Law at CDI College and worked supporting refugee families at a Canadian bureau in Toronto during their arrival and integration into the country.
He also collaborated with Saint Stephen-in-the-Fields Church in Toronto, providing psychological support to immigrants during their adaptation to Canada.
These experiences consolidated a core part of how he understands psychology: many human difficulties cannot be understood by looking at the individual alone. It's also necessary to understand their family, history, culture, relationships and the context in which they are trying to build or rebuild their life.
Management and business
Psychology and organizational experience
His career has also developed outside the therapy room.
In Canada he held management and coordination roles as Area Manager at different companies in the services and maintenance sector, taking part in operations linked, among other organizations, to WestJet and Air Canada.
He is also the founder of Quantum Professional Services, a Canadian company that remains active offering various professional services.
This business and management experience has given him firsthand knowledge of the challenges of leadership, communication, team organization, problem-solving and workplace relationships, bringing a practical dimension to his psychological work and to the development of PACTO Resolución.

Humanism and transpersonal psychology
The transpersonal approach is a perspective within psychology that seeks to understand a person beyond the immediate symptom and beyond a view centered exclusively on the ego.
It can incorporate questions related to life's meaning, values, identity, consciousness, significant experiences and the way a person understands their own existence, always respecting their beliefs and without imposing spiritual or religious interpretations.
Combined with the humanistic approach, it means looking at a person not only through what is happening to them or through a diagnosis, but also through their capacities, choices, relationships, history and possibilities for transformation.

Photography is also one of his great passions and another way of observing and telling human stories.
Part of his photographic work can be found through his social media, where his interest in imagery, people, places and the many ways of experiencing the world come together.

At PACTO Resolución
When all that experience converges into a purpose
As founder of PACTO Resolución, Ricardo brings his psychological, cross-cultural, business and human experience into the design of a platform created to help people understand each other better and turn conflicts into conversations and possible agreements.
The idea for PACTO was born, in part, from an everyday scene.
One day, Ricardo and Gabriel were in a meeting at a café and noticed a nearby table where nine people were sitting together. Their coffees were served, the setting was beautiful, and in front of them was a perfect landscape for talking, laughing and simply enjoying being together.
But no one was looking at anyone.
Everyone had a phone in hand. They shared the same table, but all their attention was on the screens.
That image left them with a question:
How can technology, instead of pulling us apart, help us come back together?
From there, one of PACTO's central ideas began to take shape: to use technology precisely to help solve what technology itself has often helped complicate.
To make difficult conversations easier, help people organize what they feel, and create paths toward agreements that finally let the phone be put away again.
Because within this vision, technology is not meant to replace human connection.
Quite the opposite.
PACTO's ultimate goal is for a moment to arrive when the platform is no longer needed in that conversation: when people can set the phone aside, look into each other's eyes again, listen, laugh, embrace and share life directly with one another once more.
PACTO uses technology to help us return to what's human.
