Legal information

Cookie Policy

We want you to know exactly what happens when you visit this site. Our approach is the strict minimum: nothing beyond what is strictly necessary runs without your prior consent.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device to remember information about your visit. Equivalent technologies exist alongside them, such as browser local storage, which we also describe here.

Strictly necessary cookies and storage

Language: we store your chosen language in a first-party cookie (pacto_locale) and in local storage for up to 12 months, so we do not have to ask again.

Consent: we store your cookie decision in a first-party cookie (pacto_consent) and in local storage for up to 6 months. It contains no identifying data.

Blog article ratings: if you rate an article, we generate an anonymous random identifier in your browser's local storage to prevent duplicate votes. It is not linked to your name, email or IP address.

Security: our platform uses a technical mechanism to protect forms and server functions against fraudulent requests (CSRF).

Payments: if you make a voluntary contribution, the payment is completed on Stripe's secure domain, which applies its own cookies necessary for payment and fraud prevention. See their privacy policy at stripe.com.

Analytics, advertising or third-party cookies

Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 for aggregated usage measurement. Its scripts and cookies only load if you accept the Analytics category. If you do not accept it, or you withdraw it, nothing loads and no analytics cookie is written.

Advertising measurement: if you accept the Marketing category, only Google's advertising measurement signals are enabled (ad storage and ad user data). As of today no advertising or Google Ads tag is installed on this site.

Personalised advertising and remarketing: these stay off at all times, even if you accept the Marketing category.

We embed no third-party players, maps or social buttons, and we do no cross-site tracking.

How to accept, reject or change your decision

On your first visit you can accept, reject or configure cookies by category, with all three options at the same level. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the “Cookie settings” link available in the footer of every page.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Keep in mind that disabling necessary storage may affect how the site works.
